Maj Jason Harris is an Air University Fellow and Instructor in the 217th Training Squadron at Officer Training School, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.

Maj Harris enlisted in the Air Force in 2004 and later received his commission in 2011 from the United States Air Force Academy. Upon graduation, Maj Harris attended Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma, and was selected to fly the EC-130H Compass Call following graduation. After his time in the EC-130H, he was selectively hired by the 89th Airlift Wing to fly “Air Force Two” in the C-32 and C-37A/B. He has served in various flying and leadership roles, including Evaluator Pilot, Deputy Inspector General, Chief of Safety, Executive Officer, and the Director of Mission Operations for the 89th Airlift Wing. Prior to his current position, Maj Harris was an in-residence student at Air Command and Staff College.

Maj Harris has flown combat missions in operations ENDURING FREEDOM, FREEDOM SENTINEL, and INHERENT RESOLVE.
