Overview
There are many approaches and tools to innovation across the Air Force enterprise. The Innovator Development Course (IDC) exists to provide exposure to the entire spectrum of knowledge and opportunities of the innovation ecosystem so that participants are equipped to determine the most relevant components for their respective organizations.

We highly recommend IDC participants read the following book before arriving:
“Orbiting the Giant Hairball” (MacKenzie). This is an easy read that will help set the stage for the exploration of challenges and opportunities of innovation.
Attire/Social
Attire for IDC is civilian casual. A fun itinerary of ‘self-pay’ evening events is being coordinated including a visit to the ropes course of Montgomery Whitewater.
Funding/Travel
- Participants must be unit funded
- IDC will take place at The Eagle Institute which is in downtown Montgomery, AL
