LTC Nathan Fry is an entrepreneur, National Guard battalion commander in the US Army’s famed Mountain Battalion, mountain guide, and adjunct professor at the University of Vermont. Nate’s professional passion through all of his endeavors centers on how to develop leaders into superior decision makers.

To that end, he is currently working to launch an ed tech startup that aims to provide leaders in high-stakes professions such as defense and diplomacy with a software tool for training decision making in complex environments. Nate believes that current AI solutions to decision making only address the “Observe” aspect of Boyd’s OODA concept and that, to maintain decision dominance in any field, high performers need a means by which to exercise Orient-Decide-Act the same way we exercise muscles for elite physical performance.
