Inputs

AUiX links the ideas and research generated by Air University students, faculty, and staff to potentially generate new capabilities, strategies, technologies, new services, and products. This is achieved through a combination of teaching, research, and active engagement with relevant stakeholders.

Idea Screening

Go/No Go Decision

AUiX assesses an idea’s viability and support before taking action. To do so, we consider several factors such as:

First, is there a project champion?
Secondly, does the idea align with strategic requirements outlined in relevant governing documents (such as NSS, NDS, NMS, Doctrine, Operational Imperatives, or the Air University Mission)?
Lastly, is there a project owner and a project plan in place.

Only after ensuring these factors are in place will AUiX move forward with an idea.

Once an idea has been assessed and found viable, AUiX facilitates deeper conversations and initiates actions in key areas such as funding, contracting, partnerships, network, and manpower. To achieve this, we collaborate with partners from academia, industry, and government agencies to ensure that the necessary resources and support are in place to advance the project.

Innovation Airspace

AUiX’s system promotes military effectiveness by facilitating the transfer of knowledge and technology. We achieve this by assessing the viability and support of ideas, connecting them to relevant stakeholders, and collaborating on funding, contracting, partnerships, network, and manpower. Through this process, AUiX helps translate academic research and innovative ideas into real-world solutions that benefit the military and beyond.
