Chief, Events & Outreach Lab

DeVanté Snell serves as the Chief of Events and Public Outreach for Air University Innovation Accelerator (AUiX) at Maxwell Air Force Base. He is dedicated to connecting with innovation partners and fostering engagement through innovative events and public outreach activities. He is responsible for planning and executing high-value forums, establishing connections with leaders and stakeholders in the Department of Defense (DoD), industry, community, and academia.

Originally deriving from the small, rural community of Suggsville in southwest Alabama, DeVanté began his career in Montgomery, Alabama, in 2019, serving as a Financial Professional at New York Life Insurance Company, a Fortune 100 Company and one of America’s most respected financial institutions. During his time at New York Life, he generated $21.6 million dollars in life insurance coverage for his clients in less than two years. His work at the firm earned him multiple high-performance awards and accolades.

Later in his career as a Senior Relationship Banker at Truist Bank, he invested more than $3 million dollars in financial assets for his banking clients and provided loans to consumer retail banking clients to finance their dreams. He has had the privilege of serving professionals, families, high net worth individuals, small business owners and their employees in his four years as a Financial Professional.

DeVanté attained a trade certification in Finance & Business Office Administration from The Montgomery Job Corps Center in 2017, a certification in Life & Health Insurance from The University of Alabama – Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education in 2019 and licensed with the Alabama Department of Insurance and Mississippi Insurance Department as an Insurance Producer from 2019 to 2022.

Mr. Snell is a lifelong native of Alabama and is joined by his wife, Shannon, their two children, Carson and Elena Grace, and their family pet maltese terrier, Bruno. Outside of his professional endeavors, DeVanté enjoys the great outdoors, history, writing, music, and making lasting memories with his family and friends.
