Dr. Jonathan Zemmer is an expert in educational technology with a passion for partnering with faculty to integrate technology in ways that enhance teaching and learning. As the Educational Technology Liaison at the Air Force Institute of Technology’s Center for Innovation in Education, he leads initiatives to optimize instructional practices and leverage learning technologies to create meaningful learning opportunities for students. His research focuses on the intersection of technology and pedagogy, with a doctoral degree from Wright State University, where he examined faculty experiences with educational technology in military education. Dr. Zemmer also leads a faculty learning community, which recently produced the AFIT Generative AI Teaching Guidebook—a practical resource showcasing how AI tools can support and enhance teaching practices. He has authored multiple publications, presented at national conferences, and earned two international awards for his innovative contributions to the field of educational technology
