Summary: The event was a roundtable discussion on Operation ANACONDA. Aviators from the Anaconda Operation participated in a discussion with follow on questions from the audience. The discussion focused on counter-land operations under conditions of uncertainty, rapid movement of support structures, and lack of complete TACS structure. The intent was to draw parallels to ACE, mission command, and how Airmen should adapt when typical communications and support structures are degraded or unavailable.
What did this event accomplish for AU/LeMay Center: “It highlighted AF doctrine and connected relevant concepts in a unique, elegant venue. It also educated a wide-ranging audience on past lessons learned and their connection to current and future operational issues – encouraging a joint mindset for air operations and objectives. This event honored distinguished visitors and their legacy and impact they had on Operation ANACONDA.”
