Director

Professor J. William “Bill” DeMarco, Colonel, USAF (Ret), DProf serves as the Director of Innovation and Analysis, A39 (AUiX) at Air University. A distinguished leader in military education and strategic innovation, he is the founder and former Chair of the Leadership Department at Air Command and Staff College (ACSC) and previously served as ACSC’s 44th Commandant.

A five-time graduated commander, Bill brings extensive operational and academic experience to his role. He is an Assistant Professor at Air University, and an adjunct professor with Auburn University. His global influence in leadership, innovation, and strategy extends to The Judge Business School at Cambridge University, where he is a research fellow, as well as guest lectures at the Ross Business School, University of Michigan.

A graduate of The Citadel, Bill holds three master’s degrees and earned his doctorate from Middlesex University, London. His expertise in leadership and organizational development continues to shape future military and civilian leaders worldwide.
